Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to try to treat conditions or change habits.

What happens in a hypnotherapy session

There are different types of hypnotherapy, and different ways of hypnotising someone.

First, we will have a talk to discuss what you hope to achieve.

After this, I typically may:

  • lead you into a deeply relaxed state – most people feel refreshed and relaxed
  • use positive suggestions to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting that you do not want to carry out a certain habit
  • gradually bring you out of the trance-like state. Most people feel refreshed and relaxed

You're fully in control when under hypnosis and do not have to take on suggestions if you do not want to.

If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state.

Hypnosis does not work if you do not want to be hypnotised.

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy works by using relaxation techniques and positive suggestions that will allow access to the subconscious mind in order to make the necessary changes.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Yes, hypnotherapy can be very effective in achieving long lasting change in your life.  It is important to state that change happens because you want it to and it does require commitment on your part.  It is a collaborative process between you and I so trust and rapport is vital in achieving the hypnotic state.
